Created by bringing together five unique individuals with five completely different musical backgrounds, search for george owes much of its success to the diversity of its musical roots. Each band member brings their own passion and style to the group, blending rock, pop, country, and more into a modern sound that's taking America by storm.
Originally formed in 1994, the band has evolved from one of the Midwest's most in-demand cover/party bands into one of the region's most respected original groups. Though the past ten years have seen member and direction changes, the constant of their honest, straightforward storytelling shines on through their three independently released records, most recently, 3minute pop song.
Released in October 2001, the 12-song effort immediately landed on the College Music Journal (CMJ) Top 200 Adds chart at ..20 (10/29/01) as over 195 radio stations across the country scrambled to add the record to their playlists.
Riding their radio "wave," search for george enjoyed seeing their songs chosen for the soundtracks of two independent films, performed a number of showcases and shows to thousands of fans across the country, and shared the stage with national acts including Fastball, Train, Deep Purple, Loverboy, and the Scorpions.
Currently performing shows across the region and writing new material in preparation for an upcoming release, search for george is on a mission to prove that it's more important for a band to have good songs, rather than just a good "sound."
